Gold Pin for the Sunderland Hangar
The Best Awards is an annual showcase of design excellence across graphic, spatial, product, interactive and motion.
On Friday, the Sunderland Hangar at Catalina Bay was awarded a 2019 Gold Pin under the category for Spatial – Repurposed Spaces. An award that reflects excellence in design, build and fit-out.
The Sunderland Hangar was built in 1939 and housed the large Sunderland and Catalina Seaplanes. Repurposed, and with a new mezzanine floor, the space now serves as the new home for Little Creatures Brewing NZ, restaurants Kittyhawk NZ and Salty’s and coworking space The Hangar.
